PRACTITIONERS &  ADDITIONAL FUNDS

About Practitioners & Additional Funds

The AEG Foundation supports scholarship, grant, and practitioner programs through its Johnston Operations Fund and Greatest Need Fund. The Johnston Operations Fund provides the infrastructure for the AEG Foundation to operate efficiently and to focus on the core mission of the organization for long term impact on the environmental and engineering geology profession. The Greatest Need Fund collects donations that are then allocated based on the greatest current needs. Past examples of how these funds are allocated include scholarships and annual meeting support for young professionals.

Programs for practitioners are specific funds to support research, publications, conferences/workshops, and the Jahns lecture program. These programs are meant to bolster the opportunities and professional development for professionals across the country. Programs for educators include funding for field trips and other opportunities to expose students to environmental and engineering geology.
