Description: My name is Abhinav Kumar and I am a sophomore student majoring in Government at Franklin and Marshall College. I am passionate about civic engagement and governmental affairs, and I am motivated towards channeling these interests towards advancing perceptions of the Muslim community. In college, I serve on the board for the Muslim Students’ Association, the John Marshall Pre-Law Honors Society, and have recently completed a legal and environmental fellowship at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Currently, I am interning in Governor Josh Shapiro’s Office of Critical Investments, where I have furthered my understanding of constituent needs and commitment to public service. I am ecstatic to participate in the Congressional Internship to spotlight underserved voices and bridge communities together.
