Description: Irshad is a senior studying Political Science at The Ohio State University. She has been interested in civic and public service since high school. In college, she was an intern for KidsVotingOhio where she advocated for youth voting rights and educational issues for K-12 students working with officials in the Ohio State House, Ohio Supreme Court, and local school districts. She is also a staff youth lead at Living Room Conversations, where she creates resources and hosts events to bridge polarization and bring marginalized voices to the forefront. She was also a youth advisor for Citizen University in which she mentored high-schoolers from across the country to build community civic initiatives to combat local issues. Through her work, she is passionate about highlighting marginalized voices and fighting the Islamaphobic narrative that is present across the nation.
