    Description: Sinthia Shabnam is a Muslim American who majored in Political Science and Sociology and graduated from NC State University. Sinthia completed her Masters in Public Administration at NC State University and UNC Chapel Hill, and now works in the NC Governor's Office for Gov. Roy Cooper. Passionate about policy development and community impact, she has worked at the North Carolina Supreme Court for the Chief Justice, the NC General Assembly, Poligon Education Fund in Congressional advocacy, and MPower Change with Linda Sarsour in field organizing. She co-founded the 1st ever, Changemaker School for Muslim activists and organizers.
 Sinthia is a public speaker, policy advocate, community organizer, policy researcher, spoken word artist, and an avid community member at her local masajid and Muslim nonprofits, and has written for NC Policy Watch, Al Jazeera News, ABC 11 and more for her work in social justice, activism, and advocating for young Muslim Americans in civic engagement and service.
